ORDER

It is seen that the petitioner is a tuition teacher and one of her students X aged about 13 years told her that she was sexually abused by her father. On the complaint lodged by X, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.1 of 2017 and arrested X's father, who is now in judicial custody. In the statement of X, she has stated that she had already told about this to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has been taken as a witness in Cr.No.1 of 2017. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking police protection.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that there are certain allegations against the petitioner also and enquiry is proceeding.

3. In view of the rival submissions, this Court directs the

respondent police to ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner from the parents of X. As regards any complaint against the petitioner, the same shall be investigated against her and this order will not be a shield for the petitioner to take shelter.

4. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
