For Respondent : Mr.R.Erottuchamy, Government Advocate (Criminal Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Section 438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.112 of 2021 on the file of the Respondent Police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(a) and 4(1-A) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, in Crime No.112 of 2021, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner is said to have illegally transported 25 Brandy Bottles by using two wheeler. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioner is an innocent and he did not commit any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

CRL OP(MD). No.5559 of 2021 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police strongly opposed this petition on the ground that the petitioner is having ten previous cases, out of which, nine cases are similar in nature.
5.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.
6.It is seen from the submission that the accused person illegally transported 25 Brandy Bottles by using two wheeler and the petitioner is having ten previous cases, out of which, nine cases are similar in nature. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
