Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the respondents and their officials not to harass the petitioners and their family members unnecessarily against law under the guise of enquiry. O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioners and their family members unnecessarily against law under the guise of enquiry.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the respondent police frequently called the petitioners to the police station and harassed them under the guise of enquiry.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that the petitioners were called only for enquiry in respect of a petition pending against them and that the respondent police did not cause any harassment to the petitioners. However, he gave an undertaking that if at all the presence of the petitioners is required, the respondent would call the petitioners for enquiry only after issuing summons giving specific date, time and place.

4. Recording the above undertaking given by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
