For Respondent : Mr.M.Ganesan, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No.122 of 2021 on the file of the Respondent Police ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as Accused No.1, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 387 and 506(ii) of IPC, in Crime No.122 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused persons said to have threatened the defacto complainant by using Aruval and Kathi by stating that the defacto complainant's son namely, Vigneshwaran, has to pay a sum of Rs. 10 lakhs to the girl friend of the petitioner. Later, the defacto complainant found that the petitioner has introduced his girl friend to rich people in the society and taken obscene videos and threatened him. Hence, the present complaint.

CRL OP(MD). No.5552 of 2021 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police strongly opposed this petition on the ground that the petitioner is a professional offender. He further submitted that five previous cases have been registered against the petitioner in Crime Nos.189 of 2016, 156 of 2014, 1289 of 2014, 1291 of 2014 and 1490 of 2014.
5.Considering the nature of the serious allegation against the petitioner and also considering the fact that the petitioner is having five previous cases of similar in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
