O R D E R

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that even according to the petitioner, the proceedings under Section 107 Cr.P.C. was initiated in the year 2014 and on account of efflux of time, the entire proceedings would have become infructuous and therefore, he fairly submitted that this Criminal Original Petition may be allowed and the proceedings may be quashed.

2. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the impugned proceedings are quashed. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.

3. In view of the above, the police should not cite these proceedings as a reason for denying the passport to the petitioner, if he is otherwise entitled to.
