ORDER

The petitioner seeks a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to renew the license in f.vz;./mDkjp/2012/ ,tm/ehs; 26.04.2012. 2.The petitioner had been given permission by the Highways Department to run a petty shop between 20.11.2011 and 20.04.2012. The permission expired, but he continued to be an occupant for more than a decade. Subsequently, the Highways Department decided to remove the petitioner from the occupation of the land belonging to it and issued notice in Na.Ka.No. 189/2021/E.Va.Aa dated 07.07.2021. This was an eviction notice. 3.A writ petition was filed challenging the said eviction notice in W.P(MD)No.2302 of 2022. This Court granted a month's time to the petitioner to vacate and hand over the possession of the property to the Highways Department.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instruction, reports that the possession has been taken on 23.10.2024.

5.When the petitioner has been evicted, the question of renewal of license does not arise. This Writ Petition is dismissed.
