ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the Respondents to expedite the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No. 1087 of 2022 pending on the file of the 2nd Respondent Police within time limit as fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.1087 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 147, 448, 294(b), 323, 506(i) of IPC and Section 3(1)(X) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, even after lapse of eight months, investigation has not been completed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.1087 of 2022 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks three months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and 2/4

file a final report in Crime No.1087 of 2022 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
