Mr.V.R.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

3. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondent to pass appropriate order for granting prior approval based on the petitioner's proposal dated 10.04.2018 as per Rule 17(1) of the Tamil nadu Recognized Private Schools (Regulation) Rules, 1974 within a stipulated time.

4. Considering the limited scope of the matter, without expressing any opinion on the claim made by the petitioner, I direct the respondent to consider the proposal of the petitioner, dated 10.04.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
