Heard both sides.

2.The petitioners challenge the decision taken in the peace committee meeting on 13.03.2024. I have been consistently holding that a peace committee meeting is not convened under any statutory provision and that decision taken therein has no legal value. But the person breaching the same cannot be in visited with any legal consequence or penalty. The petitioners can very well ignore the same. 2/4

3.With these observations, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
