This Writ petition is filed seeking 40-days ordinary leave to the life convict, exercising the power Under Rule 40 of the Tamilnadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982.

2. The Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents states that the representation on behalf of the life convict was duly considered by the Government and vide Order, dated 18.03.2025, 40-days ordinary leave been granted to the life convict.

4. In view of the order passed by the Government, nothing survives in this writ petition.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No Costs.
