Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 to 4 herein to restore the properties survey Nos.238/1 and 251 in Mukkani Village endowed for Swamy Rama Parameswarar Temple, Mukkani, as per registered document dated 11.11.1923 vide Doc.No. 386/1924 on the file of Sub Registrar, Athur, Tuticorin as per representation of the petitioner dated 7.10.2022. ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner wants the petition mentioned lands to stand in the name of the petition mentioned temple. In this regard, the Executive Officer of the temple has sent a communication to the District Revenue Officer, Tuticorin on 03.08.2023. The District Revenue Officer, Tuticorin is directed to conduct enquiry and issue notices to all the interested persons and pass final order on 2/4

merits and in accordance with law. This exercise shall be completed by the District Revenue Officer, Tuticorin within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.
