2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission to the petitioner for the maintenance of toilets situated at (1) New Bus Stand, (2) Gandhi Adigal Street, (3) Arignanar Anna Salai (Opposite to Roman Church) of Ramanathapuram Municipality, for a period of one year from 01.04.2018 to 31.03.2019 or more, in the light of petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2018.

4. Considering the limited scope of the matter, without expressing any opinion on the claim made by the petitioner, I direct the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 20.04.2018 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
