Mr.M.Pandiarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

3. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus directing the first respondent to alter the petitioner's date of birth certificate, by disposing his application dated 04.05.2005 pending before the first respondent and accordingly to change his service register and extend his service till his superannuation on 31.12.2021.

4. Considering the limited scope of the matter, without expressing any opinion on the claim made by the petitioner, I direct

the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 04.05.2005, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. Sd/- Vacation Officer.
