O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent police not to harass the petitioner in view of forcing him to register his property in Survey No.526 situated in N.Mettupatti Village, Sattur Taluk, Virudhunagar District in favour of the 2nd respondent based on the complaint of the 2nd respondent which is purely civil in nature.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the 1st respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, on the complaint given by 2nd respondent, a petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.224/2017.

4. The petitioner is directed to participate in the enquiry and during enquiry, he shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the second respondent is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest.
