This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to grant permission to perform the "Kabadi" Programme on 01.06.2018 and 02.06.2018 at Day Night situated at Sankarankovil, Tirunelveli District and to provide adequate police protection based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2018. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the schedule date for the Kabadi Programme is over and therefore, the prayer sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition has become infructuous. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In view of the above statement made by the learned Government Advocate, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
