Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to take action based on petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2022 and to provide adequate police protection to petitioner to conduct the Chitra Pournami festival to the temple namely Arulmigu Jeyamkondal @ Poongunkra Nayaki Amman Thirukovil, Magibalanpatti, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District.

O R D E R

The prayer in this writ petition is to direct the respondents to take action based on petitioner's representation dated 28.03.2022 and to provide adequate police protection to petitioner to conduct the Chitra Pournami festival to the temple namely Arulmigu Jeyamkondal @ Poongunkra Nayaki Amman Thirukovil, Magibalanpatti, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that there are rival parties and they are also claiming right for conducting the Chitra Pournami festival in Arulmigu Jeyamkondal @ Poongunkra Nayaki Amman Thirukovil, Magibalanpatti, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District. Therefore the representation submited by the petitoner has been referred to the Tahsildhar, Thirupathur, Sivagangai District and a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P (MD).No. 7066 of 2022 peace committee meeting is also going to be conducted by the Tahsildhar, Thirupathur, Sivagangai District.

3. In view of the same, the Tahsildhar, Thirupathur, Sivagangai District is directed to pass orders in the peace committee meeting to be held for conducting the Chitra Pournami festival on 16.04.2022 in Arulmigu Jeyamkondal @ Poongunkra Nayaki Amman Thirukovil, Magibalanpatti, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District forthwith.

4. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
