This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to pay the compensation under Act 3 of 2013, (Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013) to the petitioner together with interest from the date of acquisition for acquisition of lands belonging to the petitioner in Plot No.24 and 25 situated in S.No.65/12, 6514, 65/18 situated in Valayankulam Village, Madurai South Taluk (Now Tirumangalam Taluk), Madurai District, total measuring 53 cents 403 sq. ft. within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents. .
3. Seeking to pay the compensation under Act 3 of 2013, the petitioner has sent a representation to the 2nd respondent. However, since neither action was taken so far nor compensation was paid to the petitioner, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. Learned Government Advocate, appearing for the official respondents, submits that compensation has been quantified and the 2/4
Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirumangalam, has to consider the same and sought time for disbursal of the said compensation.
5. In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirumangalam, to disburse the compensation amount within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
