ORDER

Heard both sides.

2.It is beyond dispute that the petition mentioned lands are patta lands. They have been put to use for public purposes. 3.As rightly pointed out by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, in that event compensation must be paid. In this case, compensation does not appears to have been paid. 4.I direct the respondents to pay appropriate compensation as per the Central Act 30 of 2013 to the owner of the land. 2/4

5.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner points out that a representative suit was filed in O.S.No.215 of 2000 on the file of District Munsif Court, Aruppukottai that the land in question belongs to the villagers. The petitioner association appears to represent the villagers. The first respondent will find out who represents the villagers and to that body, compensation amount shall be paid. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.This writ petition is allowed accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
