ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) This writ of mandamus has been instituted to direct the respondents to construct the Anganwadi center under the Anna Marumalarchi Scheme at S.No. 2/6
419/3 of Erachi Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukkudi District as earmarked by the authority concerned based on petitioners representation dated 25.07.2024, 31.07.2024, 17.10.2024, 18.12.2024 and 26.12.2024.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would mainly contend that the place of choice decided by the authorities are not conducive for running Anganwadi Centre.
3. The learned Government Pleader would submit that the construction works have already commenced and on account of interim order, further progress has not been made. Place for construction of Anganwadi Centre is to be decided at the administrative level in accordance with the rules in force. The petitioner cannot make any suggestion regarding the place for construction of Anganwadi Centre.
4. May that as it be. This Court is of the considered view that the Anganwadi Centre is to be constructed in consonance with the rules and necessary facilities and infrastructures as prescribed under the Government regulations sought to be followed scrupulously. 3/6
5. In view of the fact the construction has already commenced, the respondents shall proceed and complete the construction by following the rules and regulations in force for construction of Anganwadi Centre.
4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
