PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant 30 days leave for parole to the Petitioner's son namely Ruban, who is undergoing sentence as life convict in Central Prison, Madurai, on the basis of the Petitioner's representation, dated 10.2.2025, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN., J AND R.POORNIMA.,J This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant 30 days leave for parole to the Petitioner's son namely Ruban, who is undergoing sentence as life convict in Central Prison, Madurai, on the basis of the Petitioner's representation, dated 10.2.2025, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 2/5

3.The request made on behalf of the life convict for ordinary leave has been rejected by the authorities vide communication, dated 20.3.2025, citing the criminal case pending against him. Therefore the writ of mandamus to consider the request for grant of ordinary leave to the Petitioner's son has become infructuous in the light of the rejection order.

4.Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed.
