ORDER

The writ petitioner has sent a representation to the District Collector on 03.01.2022 seeking patta to be issued with respect to lands in Survey No.353 measuring 0.06 cents at Alakkarai Village, Thottiyam Taluk, Trichy District.

2. The petitioner states that he had purchased the said land by a registered sale deed registered as document No.2760/1981 dated 23.09.1981 in the office of Sub Registrar, Musiri, Trichy District. He also claims that he has been in possession. He now wants to execute a gift deed in favour of his children. For that purpose the patta is required.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader taken notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. If the petitioner applies through online for patta according to the appropriate procedure, the third respondent/ Tahsildar is directed to examine the said application whenever it is filed and if there is no other impediment, issue notice to the petitioner and examine the credentials of the petitioner, thereafter proceed to issue patta within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the application from the petitioner herein. 2/4
