O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the respondents, Tahsildar, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, and Field Surveyor, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, to survey the lands of the petitioner, in pursuant to an application dated 06.06.2022 given by the petitioner and also necessary charges having been paid on 06.06.2022.

2. The petitioner is a senior citizen. She had executed a settlement deed of 9 cents of land out of a larger area of 82 cents in favour of her son. Consequent to such settlement deed, she now wants to survey the lands and fix boundary stones. This would also require grant of separate patta in the name of her son. The lands are situated at Survey Nos.649/6 and 649/3 at Vanniyaparaipatti, Periyakottai Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District.

It would only be appropriate that the respondents proceed to inspect the lands of the petitioner herein and in the presence of the petitioner and also in the presence of her son, examine the settlement deed and proceed further to survey the lands and fix the boundary stones in accordance with the settlement deed executed by the petitioner herein. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
