This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to sanction maternity leave to the petitioner for a period of one year with full pay and all attendant benefits, based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2025.

2. When the matter was taken up for consideration, Mr.S.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, brought to the notice of this Court that the representation dated 20.03.2025 submitted by the petitioner had already been considered by the respondents and accordingly, proceedings dated 30.03.2026 bearing Na.Ka.No. A-10/E-13624377/287/2026 were issued rejecting the request of the petitioner.

3. At that point of time, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case of the petitioner can be considered under the Page No. 2 of 5

recent orders issued by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.18, Human Resources Management (FR-III) Department, dated 13.03.2026.

4. In the event the petitioner makes any such application, her case will have to be considered in terms of G.O.Ms.No.18, Human Resources Management (FR-III) Department, dated 13.03.2026. In view of the above, the relief sought by the petitioner in this Writ Petition has become infructuous.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh application in terms of G.O.Ms.No.18, Human Resources Management (FR-III) Department, dated 13.03.2026.
