Today, Mr.C.Muthukaruppan, Sub Inspector of Police, Ponnamaravathy Police Station, is present before this Court. 2.On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.259/2015 on 21.08.2015 under Sections 147, 294(b), 506(i) IPC against one Rukmani and others. The petitioner filed Crl.O.P.(MD) No.868/2016 for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.259/2015 within a certain period. This Court by order dated 19.01.2016 in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.868/2016 directed the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Without mentioning about Crl.O.P.(MD) No.868/2016, the petitioner has filed the present petition for the same relief.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side), submitted that pursuant to the order passed by this Court dated 19.01.2016 in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.868/2016, the respondent police completed the investigation in Crime No.259/2015 and closed the case as 'Mistake of Fact' on 11.02.2016. A copy of the closure report has now been served on the learned counsel for the petitioner across the bar. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. Recording the same, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to file a protest application before the Judicial
Magistrate, Thirumayam, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
