ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner in the guise of the inquiry without due process of law on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 16.11.2024.

2. According to the petitioner, there is a dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent in respect of pleading the jewels and thereby, the fourth respondent lodged a false complaint against the petitioner. Based on the same, the third respondent used to harass the petitioner. Already the petitioner sent a representation, dated 16.11.2024 and the same has not been considered. But based on the complaint lodged by the fourth respondent, they called the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner filed this petition. 2/5

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the official respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the fourth respondent, they called the petitioner for enquiry. Already the petitioner lodged a complaint against the fourth respondent before the second respondent and the same was assigned in CSR No.699 of 2024 and closed on 07.11.2024. Thereafter, the fourth respondent lodged the present complaint and therefore, for enquiry purpose, they called the petitioner. Again the petitioner sent a representation to the third respondent on 16.11.2024 and the same is pending. However, the enquiry on the complaint lodged by the fourth respondent is still pending. They will complete the enquiry within a week.

4. Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this petition, this Court even without issuing notice to the fourth respondent is inclined to dispose of this petition by directing the second respondent to complete the enquiry within a week from the date of this order. 3/5

5. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
