Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 26.02.2024 presented by the petitioners before first respondent and thereby cancel the patta issued in favour of the respondents 3 to 8 herein in respect of the lands in S.No. 4/1, 5/1, 4/2, 4/3, 4/4, 4/5 and 5/4 located at Ramankulam Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District and issue patta in the name of the petitioners.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioners and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to the private respondents is dispensed with. 2/4

2.The petitioners seek cancellation of patta issued in favour of the respondents 3 to 8. The petitioners have given their representation on 26.02.2024 before the first respondent.

3.The first respondent is directed to consider the petition mentioned representation and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent will put on notice all the interested parties including the private respondents herein before passing final order. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the first respondent to pass order one way or the other.

4.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
