For Respondent : Mr.V.Neelakandan, Additional Public Prosecutor PRAYER :-This Petition filed under Section 439 (1)(b) of Cr.P.C 1973 praying to modify the 1st condition i.e. directing the petitioners to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirunelveli made in bail order dated 29.01.2020 in Cr.M.P.No.601 of 2020 on the file of the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli, insofar as the petitioner is concerned to that effect that the petitioner shall be released on his own bond. ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This criminal original petition has been filed seeking modification of the order dated 29.01.2020 in Cr.M.P.No.601 of 2020 on the file of the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner was granted bail as early as 29.01.2020, he is in custody. Because the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirnelveli, is not accepting the sureties due to Covid pandemic. 3.In view of the said submission, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.V, Tirnelveli, is directed to take up the sureties after following the safety procedure given by the High Court. 4.This criminal original petition is allowed accordingly.
