ORDER

Seeking direction to the first respondent to transfer of investigation in Crime No.1 of 2025 from the file of the second respondent to any other investigation officer or investigation by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2026, this Writ Petition is filed. 2.Since no adverse order is likely to be passed against the third respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

3.When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor pointed out that the petitioner is an accused No.8 in the aforesaid crime and also insisted the fact that an accused do not have any right to choose the investigation agency.

4.In view of the same, this Court hereby directs the second respondent to conclude the investigation in Crime No.1 of 2025 as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and further, directs to report the progress of the investigation every Friday to the Superintendent of Police, Economic Offence Wing, Chennai. The Superintendent of Police, Economic Offence Wing, Chennai, is directed to 2/4

monitor the ongoing investigation which is being conducted by the second respondent and ensure proper conclusion of the investigation. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
