ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 17.07.2014. By the said appeal, he requested the first respondent to grant continuity of service and upgrade him as Head Constable with the effect from the date on which his immediate junior was upgraded.

2. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Addl.Govt.Pleader takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice if the appeal of the petitioner is disposed of, by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. The learned Addl.Govt.Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the appeal will be considered in accordance with law.

6. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the appeal of the petitioner, dated 17.07.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
