ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to conclude the pending enquiry on the file of the respondent.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner has made an application to the respondent for cancelling the patta. The said application was made on 09.11.2024. The respondent has also commenced an enquiry on the said application in and by the proceedings, dated 19.12.2024. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that there has been no progress in the enquiry proceedings and therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

In view of the above, it would suffice to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent to conclude the pending enquiry and pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, disposing the application of the petitioner dated 09.11.2024, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as the private respondent in whose name patta is presently mutated.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
