Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the disciplinary action initiated by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai in his memo No.A2/6748/2011 dated 29.11.2011 by passing appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a stipulated time frame that may be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the disciplinary action initiated by the 2nd respondent in his memo No.A2/6748/2011 dated 29.11.2011 by passing appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a stipulated time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.D.Muruganantham, Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he is working as a Deputy https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Tahsildar in Sivagangai District. When the petitioner was working as a Zonal Deputy Tahsildar at Okkur Zone, Sivagangai Taluk, disciplinary action was initiated against him by issuing a memo No.A2/6748/2011, dated 29 11 2011 d th titi b itt d hi l ti t th id

charge memo on 30.12.2011. Thereafter, an Enquiry Officer has been appointed, who in turn has also conducted enquiry and submitted his enquiry report to the 1st respondent / District Collector, Sivagangai on 18.06.2014. The grievance of the petitioner is that the disciplinary action initiated against him is still pending with the 1st respondent and the petitioner is going to retire on 30.06.2016. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ petition for the above said relief.

3.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there are no other legal impediment.
