Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent Nos.1 to 3 to issue Equivalent certificate to the petitioner clarifying that the B.C.S (Bachelor of Corporate Secretaryship) awarded by the Respondent No.3 University as equivalent to B.Com Degree for the purpose of employment in public services by extending the benefit of Government order in G.O(Ms). No.55 Higher Education (K2) Department dated 15.03.2018 passed by the Respondent NO.1 within the time Stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.I.Pinaygash

ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the contemnor/ third respondent for willful deliberate disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.6086 of 2020 dated 26.05.2020.

2.When this Contempt Petition is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.6086 of 2020 dated 26.05.2020 has been complied with and the Higher Education Department has issued G.O.Ms.No.185 dated 15.12.2020 declaring that the BCS is equivalent to B.Com., and he has also made an endorsement in the petition to that effect.
