Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate legal action against the 3rd respondent who is the president of the Seevalaperi Village Panachayat under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act 1994 and the Relevant Rules based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2013 and 28.12.2013 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by R.SUDHAKAR,J.) This writ petition has been filed in public interest, seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate legal action against the third respondent who is the president of the Seevalaperi Village Panachayat under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act 1994 and the Relevant Rules, based on the petitioner's representations dated 21.12.2013 and 28.12.2013.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representations dated 21.12.2013 and 28.12.2013 submitted by the petitioner, have not been considered so far and hence, this writ petition.

4. Without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim made in the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to verify the nature of the complaint made by the petitioner and consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.12.2013 on its own merit and in accordance with law. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the authority concerned is free to deal with the matter on its own merit as per law.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
