ORDER
This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to make any work under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) under the guise of excavation of Oorani in the petitioner's land in Survey Nos.36/2 and 36/3 situated at Sithalankudi Village, Vadipatti Taluk, Madurai District.
2. This Writ Petition is closed, since the excavation work as stated by the petitioner has not been undertaken. However, this will not
preclude the petitioner from filing a civil suit to assert her right over the land in question. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
