: Respondents Prayer: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to refix the scale of pay of the petitioner at Rs.8300/- with effect from 1.1.2001 on par with the scale of his juniors and grant all consequential monetary benefits including the enhancement of his pensionary benefits.

The prayer in the Writ Petition is a Writ of Mandamus, praying to direct the respondents to refix the scale-of-pay of the petitioner at Rs.8300/-, with effect from 1.1.2001, on par with the scale of his juniors and grant all consequential, monetary benefits including the enhancement of his pensionary benefits.
2.Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, the learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and by consent of both parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.The learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.08.2014, is disposed of, based on the proposal, dated 23.01.2014, sent by the Deputy Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Tirunelveli, to the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Chennai, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue involved, the 2nd respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.08.2014, based on the proposal, dated 23.01.2014, sent by the Deputy Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Tirunelveli, if not already disposed of, and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording the petitioner an opportunity of being heard, if there is no legal impediment.
5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
