ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The land in question has been classified as Cart Track in the revenue records. The petitioner wants the same to be re-classified and patta issued in his favour.

3. The Land Commissioner had issued communication, dated 09.01.2024, calling upon the second respondent to take action on the petitioner's request. The petitioner wants the second respondent to pass final order in this regard.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate pointed out that the petitioner has been treated as encroacher and notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Encroachment Act has been issued.

5. I am not in a position to issue any positive direction. However, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 28.03.2024 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No LR 3/5
