ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner seeks renewal of his passport. The petitioner was involved in a murder case and he has since been acquitted. It appears that security proceedings under Section 110 CrPC is pending. This will not operate as an impediment. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to process the petitioner's application and re-issue the passport to the petitioner subject to fulfilment of other usual formalities.

3. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
