This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to transfer and post the petitioner in any existing vacancies in his native Taluk i.e. Rajapalayam Taluk, by considering his representation dated 03.02.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. Heard Mr.N.Ramki, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents.
3. From the perusal of the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition and as contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the grievance of the petitioner is only non-consideration of his representation
dated 03.02.2026 submitted by him to the respondents requesting them for his transfer from Vembakottai Taluk to Rajapalayam Taluk.
4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that there is a vacancy at Rajapalayam Taluk and the request of the petitioner would be considered duly taking into consideration his seniority and the request made by the other similarly placed persons expeditiously.
5. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of, with the consent of both sides, at the admission stage, directing the second respondent to consider the representation dated 03.02.2026 submitted by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
