Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to provide the Electricity Service Connection to the petitioner property comprised in Survey No. 66/3 situated at Madanpattavoor, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District based on the Readiness Certificate issued by the 1st respondent on 05.06.2003 and on the petitioner application dated 12.03.2015 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner originally wanted providing of electricity service connection under the free service category. It is true that he had given an application earlier during the pendency of this writ petition. The petitioner availed the said connection under Tadkal Scheme. He also paid a sum of Rs.3 Lakhs in July 2018. Therefore having made voluntary payment under Tadkal Scheme, the petitioner cannot seek refund after electricity service was already given in terms of Tadkal Scheme.

2.Recording the subsequent developments, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
