O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2025 and direct the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members life and limb. 2.According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the property in old S.No.85/C and new S.No.40/6 in Vilathur Village, Madurai East Taluk. While so, the third respondent, claiming rights over the property causing disturbance to the petitioner's possession of the property and thereby, he lodged a complaint before the second respondent and the Revenue Divisional Officer issued proceedings in respect of the property through order dated 18.07.2022 and thereafter, the Revenue Divisional Officer also conducted detailed enquiry and concluded that the predecessors namely, Veeran and his son/third respondent have no any 2/6

ownership over the property. While so, on 18.02.2020, when the labourers were working in the land, the third respondent trespassed into the property and threatened the workers. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent, for which an FIR in Crime No.70 of 2020 was registered and the case is now pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Madurai, again on 13.01.2025 at about 09.30 a.m, the third respondent trespassed into the property and threatened the petitioner and thereby, a complaint has been lodged, based on the same, an FIR in Crime No.5 of 2025 was registered. Repeatedly, the third respondent is interfering with the petitioner's enjoyment of the property and also made life threat to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation dated 22.01.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that there is a property dispute pending between the petitioner and the third respondent, thereby, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the third respondent and already two FIRs have been registered in Crime Nos.70 of 2020 and 5 of 2025 and the same are pending and now, the petitioner sent the representation, dated 3/6

22.01.2025 seeking police protection and the same is under consideration, which will be considered and disposed of within a period of fifteen days.

4.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court, without even issuing notice to the private respondent, is inclined to pass orders.

5.According to the petitioner, he sent a representation to the second respondent for police protection against the third respondent and the same has not been considered. According to the second respondent, the petitioner's representation is under consideration and he assured to complete the enquiry within fifteen days.

6.Recording the submission made on behalf of the second respondent, he is directed to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same within a period of fifteen days from the date of this order, after affording opportunities to both the parties, in accordance with law.
