ORDER

The petitioner seeks relief of issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to conduct survey based on his application dated 25.02.2025. The petitioner has also given a representation by way of reminder on 09.03.2025.

2. I have heard Mr.A.Aruljenifer, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would seek a directions to be issued to the first respondent since the subject lands fall within the jurisdiction of two Taluks and therefore, the Tahsildar of one Taluk may not be competent to consider the application for survey as the property is 2/5

falling in another Taluk.

4. Considering the above, the first respondent shall conduct a survey on the petitioner's application subject to petitioner paying the requisite charges and the said exercise shall be concluded within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
