: Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pay the subsistence allowance at the rate of 50% from September, 2016 to February, 2017 and thereafter, at the rate of 75% from March, 2017 onwards namely from the date of completion of six months as per the provisions of Fundamental Rule and to disburse the arrears, within the stipulated time by considering the last representation dated 24.05.2018. Mr.M.Pandiarajan, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he was not paid the subsistence allowance from the date of suspension, namely 20.09.2016 to till date and hence, he has given a representation dated 24.05.2018 seeking payment of subsistence allowance and the same is still pending consideration with the respondents and therefore, he has filed the present Writ Petition for the reliefs as stated above.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, the second respondent/Superintendent of Police,

Karur District, Karur, is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 24.05.2018 and pay the subsistence allowance from 20.09.2016 to till date, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, continue to pay the subsistence allowance to the petitioner till the revocation of suspension.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
