O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the second respondents / Tahsildar, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District and Taluk Surveyor, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, to survey the property of the petitioner in R.S.No.254/4 at Karaikudi Registration District, A.Manakudi Group Village, in Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District. The petitioner had given a representation on 21.12.2022.

2. The petitioner had earlier paid necessary fees by challan dated 16.07.2021. He had actually paid fees also on 11.07.2019. Complaining that steps have not been taken the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader who had taken notice on behalf of the respondents pointed out that there is no previous 2/5

title deed with respect to the petitioner. Further as the boundaries of the property, it had been stated that on the south side there is a river (MW) and on the east side there is a Vaikkal.

4. Let the first respondent / Tahsildar, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, therefore verify from the revenue records as to how the lands in Survey No.254/4 are classified and if there are no other impediments, then proceed to conduct enquiry. If there are impediments, the Tahsildar may issue notice to the petitioner and clarify the situation with the petitioner herein. The entire exercise must be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
