ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioners to direct the second respondent to expedite the enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioners, dated 20.10.2022.

2. According to the petitioners, they lodged a complaint before the second respondent for forging the documents as against one T.V.Lakshmanan and others on 20.10.2022 but no any action was taken. The petitioners also appeared on so many occasions for enquiry. Lastly, the second respondent summoned the petitioners on 06.02.2025 but no proper action was taken. Hence, the petitioners filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners' complaint was enquired and the same was closed on 08.02.2025. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this case.

4. This Court had heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

According to the petitioners, they lodged a complaint on 20.10.2022 but the second respondent has keep on pending for more than two and a half years and lastly, after issuing summons on 06.02.2025 and immediately, closed the complaint on 08.02.2025 after filing this petition. Therefore, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the first respondent through fresh representation and the first respondent can appoint appropriate officer except the second respondent and the officer, who appointed as enquiry officer has to complete the proceedings as early as possible without any delay.

6. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
