ORDER
The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders on petitioner's objection dated 16.09.2025 with regard to acquisition of land in Survey No. 875/2 and 875/3A situated at Watrap Village, Srivilliputhur Taluk, Virudhunagar District, within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the land in Survey Nos. 875/2 and 875/3A, situated at Watrap Village, Srivilliputhur Taluk, Virudhunagar District. The respondents are acquiring the said land. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an objection dated 16.09.2025. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed seeking to consider the petitioner's objection.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the authorities mentioned in the writ petition are not the appropriate authorities. The appropriate authorities are the Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition, Highways, Madurai, and the Special Tahsildar, Land Acquisition, Unit-IV, Sivakasi. The petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the above said authorities within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The said authorities shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks 2/4
therefrom.
4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
