This petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to change the classification and include the petitioner's name and other legal heirs of his father in the Survey No.352/3 of Viralur Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2026 within a stipulated period as framed by this Court.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's father had purchased the property and was in possession and enjoyment of the same. After demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner inherited the property. It was further submitted that the respondent, without issuing any notice to the petitioner, classified the land as Government Natham Poramboke Kinaru on the website. Consequently, the petitioner submitted an application before the Revenue Divisional Officer on 04.01.2022. Since the District Revenue Officer is the competent authority, the Revenue Divisional Officer forwarded the application to the District Revenue Officer, where it is currently pending. 2/4
3. Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.
4. Considering the above facts, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's claim by duly perusing the relevant documents and to pass appropriate orders within a period of 12 weeks.
