O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents to secure the detenue, namely, Revathi, daughter of Kumaravel, aged about 25 years, produce her before this Court and set her at liberty, her elder brother has filed this habeas corpus petition.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his younger sister is found missing from 18.02.2024 and her whereabouts is not known. Despite a case has been registered by the respondent - Police in Crime No.186 of 2024 under the caption "Woman Missing" based on the complaint given by him, no effective steps have been taken by the respondent - Police. Hence, this habeas corpus petition.

3. The respondent - Police produced the detenue before this Court. On enquiry, she submitted that there was some misunderstanding

with her brother / petitioner herein and hence, she went out of the home and on coming know about lodging of complaint before the respondent - Police and filing of habeas corpus petition before this Court, she herself voluntarily appeared before the respondent - Police. She further submitted that she was not in illegal detention of anybody and she has also expressed her willingness to go along with her brother / petitioner, who is also present before this Court.
