ORDER

The petitioner, a Secretary of the 2nd respondent Society, has filed this writ petition, challenging the charge memo dated 12.03.2024 issued against him.

2. It appears that pending the charge memo, the petitioner was allowed to retire from service.

3. Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

4. This Court, while entertaining this writ petition on 25.03.2024, has granted an order of interim stay. Though the learned Special Government Pleader took notice for the respondent, the Department has 2/4

not provided any instructions to the learned Special Government Pleader.

5. Since the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. However, there shall be a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
