ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to transfer the investigation in Crime No.360 of 2020 on the file of the second respondent police to any other independent agency or under the supervision of the first respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though a case has been registered on 26.05.2020 in Crime No.360 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 279 and 304(A) I.P.C, till date there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition for the above stated relief.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that they have collected some CCTV footage from the place of occurrence and the investigation is at the final stage. 4.Heard, Mr.R.Balamurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.6784 of 2020 5.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the jurisdictional Deputy Superintendent of Police to monitor the investigation in Crime No.360 of 2020 and the investigating officer is directed to conduct the investigation and file the final report as expeditiously as possible.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
