ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by D. KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the notice issued under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905.

2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that an appeal petition is filed before the District Revenue Officer for reclassification of the subject land.

3. We are not inclined to accept the said contention of the petitioner since there is no material available to show that the petitioner has filed an appeal before the District Revenue Officer. If the petitioner is having any grievance, he is directed to submit his explanation/objection to the notice issued under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such explanation/objection, the authority concerned shall proceed in accordance with law.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
